Behnam Abolghasem was born in 1985 in Tehran, Iran. He is a Pianist, composer and university lecturer.
He started playing piano at the age of six under the guidance of Amir Ghasemian and Sushiant Azemikhah and used the presence of Professor Clara Bukochava to complete his studies in piano playing and teaching. He has a master’s degree in piano performance from the University of Art in Tehran.
He also started playing the Tar and Setar instruments from the age of 14, first with Mr. Karim Ali-Shahi and then with Kivan Saket.
He has been conducting extensive research on Iranian music and also studying and practicing and researching various techniques of piano and also the topic of improvisation. The result of this was in an independent concert called: “These sounds are born in your ear and my fingers at the same time.”
